What you need to consider when using Excel • Single user updating • Stored not on the network where everyone can access it • If your auto save isn’t set to a really low refresh, you are relying on your user to save • If the computer/system crashes, you may only be able to recover what was last cached from the auto save • Excel is NOT a database • It is possible that if you get a virus (i. e. Cryptolock), you may not be able to access the worksheet ever again • Are you working on the latest version of your Excel worksheet? • Why duplicate your efforts when your system can do it for you?
