Overview of the Hazardous Waste Permits Section Permitting of TSDFs • RCRA permits provide TSDF facilities with the legal authority to treat, store, or dispose of hazardous waste, and detail how the facility must comply with the regulations. • A variety of enforceable instruments are currently used for RCRA Corrective Action in Kansas: EPA orders and agreements, RCRA permits, and State orders. Overview of the Hazardous Waste Permits Section GPRA Goals • Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) goals are high priority national goals tracked by EPA and Congress • RCRA currently has three goals for corrective action that apply to our 2020 baseline facilities: 1) Identify and achieve human exposures under control (CA 725) 2) Control migration of contaminated groundwater (CA 750) 3) Complete remedy construction (CA 550) Protect and improve the health and environment of all Kansans
