Bully-Proof Yourself! Bullies usually pick on kids who are shy, nervous or alone. Here are three ways to help you avoid being bullied. 1. Show confidence by acting strong. Walk, stand sit up straight. Look people in the eye. Speak clearly and firmly. 2. Do your best to keep away from bullies. Stay in areas where adults or other kids are around. 3. Make friends. If you don’t have many friends now, join a school club or sports team. Reach out to new students and kids who are left out.
If You’re Bullied Bullies are everywhere. Even if you do all you can to avoid them, you may be bullied. Here are some good ways to handle it. 1. Don’t look upset. Stay calm and don’t show them that you are mad or hurt. 2. Don’t fight back or do anything mean. That would only make you a bully too. 3. Say something funny if it’s possible.
