Pretty, pretty please If you ever, ever feel Like your nothing You're perfect to me. You're so mean, When you talk, About yourself, You are wrong. Change the voices, In your head Make them like you Instead. Done looking for the critics, cause they're everywhere They don't like my jeans, they don't get my hair We change ourselves and we do it all the time Why do we do that? Why do I do that? Taylor Swift: Mean You, with your words like knives And swords and weapons that you use against me You have knocked me off my feet again Got me feeling like a nothing You, with your voice like nails on a chalkboard Calling me out when I'm wounded You picking on the weaker man Well you can take me down with just one single blow but you don't know, what you don't know. . . Someday I'll be living in a big ol' city And all you're ever going to be is mean Someday I'll be big enough so you can't hit me And all you're ever going to be is mean Why you gotta be so mean? You, with your switching sides And your wildfire lies and your humiliation You have pointed out my flaws again As if I don't already see them I walk with my head down Trying to block you out 'cause I'll never impress you I just wanna feel okay again I bet you got pushed around Somebody made you cold But the cycle ends right now Cause you can't lead me down that road And you don't know, what you don't know. . . Someday I'll be living in a big ol' city And all you're ever going to be is mean Someday I'll be big enough so you can't hit me And all you're ever going to be is mean And I can see you years from now in a bar Talking over a football game With that same big loud opinion But nobody's listening Washed up and ranting about the same old bitter things Drunk and grumbling on about how I can't sing But all you are is mean And a liar, and pathetic, and alone in life And mean, and mean

Life’s Too Short The little voice in the back of my head Keeps telling me that I'm not good enough Not strong enough The little girl somewhere in my mind Under the covers Cause she's too scared of everything To try anything She talks all that trash Tellin' me I should just give up I look in the mirror, put on my mascara And tell her to just shut up Cause life's too short To hate yourself To try to be someone else So quit wasting your time The days go by way too fast To let anything hold you back So don't cry anymore Cause life's too short To hate yourself

• Every cover of every magazine Makes you feel like you're not thin enough Not pretty enough You let a stupid pair of old blue jeans That don't quite fit ruin your day And you beat yourself up You beat yourself up But blue jeans ain't nothin' But fabric and buttons They don't mean a thing They can't make you beautiful Baby, you're beautiful So throw 'em away Cause life's too short To hate yourself To try to be someone else • So quit wasting your time The days go by way too fast To let anything hold you back So don't cry anymore

God doesn't make mistakes Just look at this beautiful day Cause life's too short To hate yourself To try to be someone else So quit wasting your time The days go by way too fast To let anything hold you back So don't cry anymore Cause life's too short To hate yourself
