VIDIN Residents of the city is 54, 218 people. In 2013 was built the second bridge on the river called "New Europe" (formerly known as the "Danube Bridge 2" or "Bridge Vidin Calafat"). The cathedral "St. Dimitar" in Vidin is the second largest in Balgaria. The temple is a cultural monument of national importance. Vidin Synagogue is a historic second Jewish temple in Vidin. It is the second largest synagogue in the Balkans Mosque of Osman Pazvantoglu is massive stone building with a strong oriental architecture. The minaret is headed by a stylized top of the peak. Pazvantoglu dedicated it to his father, was slain in Vidin on the orders of the Sultan.
Ethnographic Museum “Krastata kazarma" Historical museum “Konaka" in Vidin was created as Archaeological Society in 1910. Exposure are present in prehistory, paleontology, archeology and ethnography.
Drama Theatre "Vida" is a two-storey building built in 1891. The building is located at the entrance of the Danube Park. Art Gallery "Nikola Petrov“ The building was constructed for military club. After appropriate renovations in 1963. it is an open art gallery. It bears the name of one of the great Bulgarian artist who was born in Vidin. It keeps about 1, 500 pieces worldwide. Located at the beginning of the Danube Park, next to the Municipal Theatre.
BULGARIAN NATIONAL FLAG The national flag of Bulgaria has a rectangular shape and consists of three colors: white, green and red, positioned horizontally top to bottom, as colored boxes are identical in shape and size. The white color stands for freedom, green - green forests and fields of Bulgaria and red - the blood of those who died for the freedom of Bulgaria heroes and victims.
