Key achievements over the past 12 months • Completion of the Allocation of ~ 4000 commercial • • • fishing rights Won all 47 Review Cases, including a unanimous judgment in the Constitutional Court Continued with the Successful Implementation of the 4 x 4 Regulations Commenced discussions with the Dept of Water Affairs and Forestry on aspects of the Coastal Zone Management Bill Allocated 10 year commercial fishing rights in the abalone fishery Invited applications for the development of a South African Large Pelagic Fishery

Vessels named. Five further Marine Protected Areas Demolished a number of illegal cottages Committed R 5 million to the rehabilitation of Langebaan Lagoon
