Product benefits Easy installation Save on installation No need to modify vessel or site – Install anywhere, from the edge of the silo to the middle – Shoot the laser beam at an angle if required (on solids) – No echo mapping, no need to empty vessel – Shoot the laser beam through an existing window Long measurement range allows installing product away from falling materials or dangerous conditions Easy configuration can be replicated in several identical vessels Can aim beam at angle to measure all the way down vessel cone December 5, 2020 Slide 10
Product benefits Measure any material A single product for any material Solids: – Any type, even mix of solids and liquids Liquids: – Any type, from clear to dark – Measures in the presence of waves, turbulence, bubbles Laser beam can detect low-dielectric constant materials – Oils – Plastics – Low-density materials in general December 5, 2020 Slide 11
Product benefits Measuring foam Application When foam is present, LLT 100 will measure the top of the foam Laser level measurement is not suitable for interface measurement or measuring solids under water However, foam won’t make the signal unreliable. The foam will be measured. LLT 100 benefits Possible to measure foam layer using laser for top of foam level and magnetostrictive or differential pressure for liquid level December 5, 2020 Slide 12
Product benefits Measuring through narrow spaces Applications Measuring in stilling wells Measuring through pipes Measuring though ball valves Measuring between agitator blade and vessel wall Measuring through grid LLT 100 Benefits No echo mapping – no false echoes due to environment Reliable measurements – no need to remap when environment changes Reduced cost of ownership due to high reliability December 5, 2020 Slide 13
Product benefits Added safety Applications In many cases, laser level measurement increases application safety: – Increased measurement distance allows placing product away from hot or dangerous process – Certified SIL 2 device – Can easily be isolated from process with ball valve – Can be placed above grid December 5, 2020 Slide 14 Measuring in a pipe, through a grid Measuring hot metal from a distance
Product benefits Added reliability Applications Laser beams are very narrow (0. 3° divergence) and do not interact with surrounding objects Lasers are also immune from several factors, increasing reliability Immune from: – Process temperature changes – Pressure changes – Changing measured materials / dielectric constants – Ambient noise – Vessel material – Environment changes such as buildup – Falling materials December 5, 2020 Slide 15
