Why do it? • If you are interested in all areas of Science and want to study it further this is for you! • Approximately 50% of the course is assessed by portfolio work so if you don’t like exams and prefer coursework this for you! • The optional units available are really exciting and could be on an area you really love like forensic science or space science or genetic engineering. • It is good preparation for studying applied science subjects at university, moving onto higher apprenticeships or moving onto employment in the science sector. • As well as learning lots of science you also learn many transferable skills like problem-solving and communication.
