Alice’s view • The course is very interesting as you learn about business in debt in a practical way, through the use of course work, projects and one exam in finance. • Within the business department the teachers are very supportive, if you have any concerns they are very approachable. • We get taught in a sophisticated way and get treated like adults which I like. The teaching is done in a fun way in order for us to enjoy ourselves whilst learning. • So far within this course I have learnt a lot of key life skills; time management, organisation, revision techniques and how to stay motivated. My advice • Time management is key for this course as it is examined continuously. We get a deadline every Friday so it is key to manage your time to get it all completed for the important hand in dates. • If you don’t understand an aspect within finance make sure you do the research, read your textbook or ask your teacher about it so that you don’t fall behind. • I have started to make flash cards at the end of my finance lessons so that all the key information from my lesson is noted in a organised way.
