Prevention Aims • We want to empower people to make healthy choices around physical inactivity, smoking, high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol and obesity to reduce their risk of cardiovascular disease. • We want to reduce the number of people who smoke, are physically inactive, make unhealthy diet choices or live with undiagnosed high blood pressure or elevated cholesterol. • We will focus work on people and communities at highest risk of cardiovascular disease. • We will support those tackling the wider environmental factors that affect cardiovascular health. ’

Health at Work programme - aims The Health at Work programme aims to improve the health and wellbeing of the working-age population by: • Working in partnership with employers, public health and other stakeholders to create healthier workplaces • Providing employers with practical and effective support to establish and sustain a health at work programme • Helping people make healthy choices related to their health and wellbeing with a focus on diet, physical activity levels and tobacco use that reduce their risk of cardiovascular disease.
