HOW DO WE USE THOSE DOLLARS ? The Boosters and I will determine how to utilize fundraising dollars and it is directly tied to how much we are able to raise Currently there are short term and long term goals and we will meet as boosters how we prioritize these goals, outside input is always welcome. Annual review of what we need and want to set forth our ongoing effort to maintain, improve and upgrade will be discussed at our next booster club meeting which will include new elections. Freshman and Sophomore parents are strongly encouraged to attend as the fundraising for the next few years will need to be determined to start and complete some of the improvements and upgrades proposed. You are an important member of the team and we value your input and support.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT OFFENSE Teach proper mechanics without discovering mechanics directly Free up mind to focus on approach, rhythm and timing Take care of mechanics through a series of drills Quality vs. Quantity Swings Practice Mechanical, Approach and Mental Philosophy Hitting Goals (Short vs. Long Term) We don’t clone hitters (observe first, change second) Hitting-BP with a PURPOSE-EFFECTIVE-EFFICIENT!
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT DEFENSE Program “D” We do this with individual “D” Time This does not include pitchers (we just don’t have pitcher only guys) Great way to develop young Players Defensively Great way to get Staff on Same page Coach Pitch Scrimmage Find our playmakers 6 innings in 30 minutes, Live baseball always helps you find your weakness Great Conditioning (9 -5’s, get on and off the field) Great way to compete in practice (put something on it) At times we will mix our JV/Varsity, all involved
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PITCHING Developing Depth All freshmen pitch or at least throw scheduled bullpens Help us find a pitcher we didn’t know we had Helps develop pitching for that summer grind Pitching with a plan Keep charts on all teams Charts + Plan = CONFIDENCE We call pitches in the spring, Pitchers/Catchers call summer
PARENTS WE WANT TO BE CONCISE WITH OUR EXPECTATIONS FOR THE PROGRAM WE WANT TO BE BRUTALLY HONEST WITH YOU WE WANT YOU TO FEEL THAT YOU ARE PART OF THE PROGRAM AND TO REPRESENT IT WITH CLASS CHAIN OF COMMUNICATION PLAN IN PLACE THAT EVERYONE WILL UNDERSTAND OUR CHAIN OF COMMUNICATION IS PLAYER-COACH FIRST, PARENT-COACH ONLY IF NEEDED

Coach’s Statement Regarding College and Professional Scouting Not the coach’s responsibility to secure a player college scholarships or to get them drafted by a professional baseball team. The coaches have no control over these decisions. However, we will do our best to get our players exposure and lead them into contact with college and professional scouts. When coaches are asked to evaluate a baseball player’s future by college or professional scouts, an objective and honest evaluation will be given. This evaluation will include baseball skills as well as performance and behavior in and out of the classroom. We want college and professional teams to know they are getting the whole picture of the student-athlete. This will not be compromised under any circumstances. Our program does not exist to be a feeder system to college and professional baseball. We are here to add to your son’s overall educational experience during his time at Brighton High School. With Respect,
