What is the VISION of SEIC?
SEIC VISION To create a NETWORK of parents, educators, and administrators who will work COOPERATIVELY and CONSTRUCTIVELY to meet the needs of all students receiving special education services in the most INTEGRATED environment, with appropriate supports in place, to ensure that the students will LEARN and BE VALUED members of their school community.

What is the role of the SEIC liaison on your PTA?
SEIC LIAISONS DO. . . ü ü Connect parents to resources Attend PTA meetings Solicit input from school community Pass on information provided by SEIC to their school community. DO NOT. . . Give advice on individual issues Attend IEP meetings Share information about a specific child and/or diagnosis
A SEIC LIAISON CAN BE. . . A parent A teacher A member of the school community who has a passion for inclusion. *Note: the person must be connected to the school community in some way.
