Primary grades should focus on reading comprehension and addition. Grades 3 -7 should focus on reading comprehension and math multiplication facts. Creating flash cards, asking questions about a book after your child finishes reading, reviewing questions missed on an assignment, giving your child mini-breaks while completing homework and reading together are ways that you can help at home. Art Student of the Month: Leannys Acosta All Grade level students are working on the Annual Doodle for Google contest. Students will be designing the GOOGLE logo with theme to complete this topic: " When I grow up, I hope. . . ? " Students will manipulate each letter of the word GOOGLE to answer that question. Their work should be a visual illustration of what they HOPE for in their future. Music Student of the Month: Logan Avalos K-1 st will be singing, doing movement, and learning basic rhythms. 5 th grade will be learning how to play and write rhythms. 6 th-7 th grade will be playing instruments and performing on their instruments each week.
