Some types of food mentioned in the text Breakfast are described in the following slides:
Kedgeree is a dish consisting of cooked fish (sometimes smoked haddock), boiled rice, parsley, hard-cooked eggs, curry powder and butter or cream.
Porridge is a dish made by boiling oats in water, milk, or both. It is usually served hot in a bowl or dish.
Kipper A kipper is a whole herring, a small, oily fish, that has been split from tail to head, gutted, salted or pickled, and cold smoked.
Black pudding or blood pudding is a type of sausage made by cooking blood or dried blood with a filler until it is thick enough.
English breakfast The normal ingredients of a traditional full English breakfast are bacon, eggs, fried or grilled tomatoes, fried mushrooms, fried bread or toast and sausages, usually served with a mug of tea. Black pudding is added in some regions as well as fried leftover mashed potatoes (called potato cakes).
