BRAND INFORMATION BRAND HISTORY Crafted by Winemakers Stephanie and Dan Rivin to celebrate an uncommon varietal that flourishes in Mendocino County After Dan worked at Golden Eye Wines and Stephanie became the winemaker at Signal Ridge Vineyard, the two wanted a project of their own. The wine name was created while in the Poor vineyard, where Pinot Noir (princess) was planted next to Zinfandel (the peasant). The name is also befitting to the couple’s roots, Dan being from Russia and Stephanie from Saudi Arabia. u u u FEATURES AND BENEFITS u u u Unique, single-vineyard Carignan perfectly adapted to its terroir in the rugged hills of Mendocino County. The Poors have been raising wine grapes at this location since the late 1800 s and have continued many of the original viticultural practices 100% destemmed and native fermentation, underwent a 22 day maceration bedore a natural secondary fermentation in barrel. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Carignan is juicy, bright, and vibrant; with blackberry and pomegranate fruit and lively, polished tannins. Showcases the vineyard’s signature juicy pomegranate and wild berry flavors. The 2017 is extraordinarily succulent, with a rich, fruit-forward, concentrated flavor profile.
