Conferences Middle School: Charlotte Beltway Conference (CBC) • • Cabarrus Charter Covenant Classical Carolina International Union Academy ACE Academy Queens Grant Corvian Conference Tournament Outline • • • Each school will play 14 conference games (2 against every other school). There will be no non-conference games for MS. Seeding for the tournament will be based on overall record. Ties will be broken by head to head, followed by record vs highest seeds.

HS basketball has 11 non-conference games scheduled Seeding for the basketball tournament will be based on overall record. Ties will be broken by head to head, followed by record vs highest seeds. The higher seed will host the first round of the conference tournament. Seeding for Regionals: 1) Regular Season Conference Champions 2) Conference Tournament Champions 3) At Large bids based on 22 game schedule

Please consider supporting your student athlete and the BPS Boosters! -We will be holding several meetings throughout the year to discuss fundraising and volunteer needs, among other things. You will be notified of meetings via the email you provide on the Booster Membership form. -Please join Boosters to help us meet our fundraising goal for this year!!!

Season Passes Season passes to regular season home games will be available for purchase for your convenience. More details will be available after tryouts. .
Cost • Athletics Fee • • • Middle School- $75 High School- $125 Admission to away conference and all home games • • Middle School- $3 Adult, $1 Student High School- $6 admission (home games will be $1 for students, but not all conference teams will abide by that)
Player Expectations • • Players will come prepared for practice and games with all proper attire and equipment Players will be expected to give full attention during training sessions and games Players are expected to always work hard to help improve skills and understanding of the game. The amount of playing time players will receive during games will be based on game performance, determination in practice, punctuality and attitude. Players should always be courteous of other players and teammates. It is expected that all players exemplify and demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times. Players are expected to be respectful of their coaches, officials and opponents. Players are required to carry exceptional grades in school while being a distinguished athlete.
Coaches Expectations • Players and parents can expect coaches to provide a fun learning environment. • Coaches will be on time and prepared for training sessions and games. • Players and parents can expect the coaches to be fair and give an honest evaluation of players. • Coaches will promote good sportsmanship and lead by example. • Coaches will maintain good communication with parents and players. • Coaches will hold players accountable who do not abide by good sportsmanship, attendance in games and practice sessions. • Coaches will work toward not only the development of their team, but the individual development of each player.
Parent Responsibilities • • Parents are expected to get players to practice and games on time, as well as pick up players timely. All parents are expected to carry proper sideline behavior. Parents should not yell instructions from the sideline and allow the coaches to properly instruct. If late to practice or a game, parents are expected to notify the coaching staff immediately and ensure their player is properly prepared with attire, equipment and ready to play. Parents are required to fulfill financial commitments to the team. Parents should be supportive and recognize the value and importance of volunteers, coaching staff, team mangers, referees and officials. Be a role model and example to your child by exemplifying good sportsmanship at all times.
Parent Responsibilities • • Bradford parents and coaches will be expected to follow a 24 hour rule in regards to communicating with one another. Bradford coaches are competitive, and Bradford parents are passionate about their children. There may be times when coaches and parents disagree about playing time, position, strategy, or any number of things. The appropriate time to discuss these matters is not immediately following an athletics contest. As a result parents should not contact a coach within 24 hours of any such contest. Once the 24 hour window has passed a parent may request a meeting with the coach in order to discuss the disagreement. Parents and coaches should remain cordial and respectful during any such meeting.
Parent Responsibilities • • • Any student, parent, or individual that exhibits unsportsmanlike conduct or inappropriate behavior may be barred from any additional athletic events that season. Second offense: in subsequent seasons will result in the barring of said individual from any athletic contests involving Bradford Preparatory School for the rest of the school year. Please follow the grievance policy outlined in the Student Athlete Handbook if any issues arise during the season.

Academic Eligibility • High School Students are eligible to tryout for the Winter Sports season if they meet the NCHSAA requirements. They must have passed 5 of their 8 classes the previous semester, and have been promoted. • Middle School Students are eligible if their overall average is a 70% or above (including art, PE, music).
