BPW DANUBE-NET Conference l l The idea for the Danube Net originated in autumn 2004 with the aim of twinning BPW Clubs in Germany with Clubs which had already been set up in a number of Eastern European countries. As the Danube links so many countries in eastern and western Europe, it was decided to name the project after it. Today, twinning is only one part of the Danube Net’s activities. Marion Volk
