• Application form (with CV and references) • Interview (some Inns, like Inner Temple, interview everyone) • Financial need is an important consideration • Scholarships and exhibitions can be anything up to about £ 25, 000 How to get a scholarship The Process • Getting a scholarship or exhibition is likely to help you get a pupillage • It’s not just those with 1 st from Oxbridge that get them
• Get a good CV (and not just academic stuff) • Do your homework i. e. investigate each Inn • Do mini-pupillages and/or work in solicitors’ offices • Go to court How to get a scholarship A few tips • Moot • Get good references from people who really know you • Remember that the competition is fierce and high standard
