Albemarle County Cool Counties : More Powerful Than The Sun Itself! • The full title itself, “Cool Counties Climate Stabilization Declaration, ” exhibits a naive hubris and a lack of basic scientific understanding of climate dynamics • The title “Local Climate Action Planning Process” (LCAPP) similarly implies a achievable ability to change the climate by local county action; what is the evidence for this claim? • Why do rational and obvious energy saving measures require a 70 person governing bureaucracy and 18 months of staff time as reported in the LCAPP? • Has anyone quantified the changes in the climate achieved by the county since 2007 and at what cost?
