This book is about the story of Jen Greenley, everybody’s best friend. At the beginning, Jen was girlnext-door and kind. She treated everyone the same always nice to everyone. She also had been selected to be Ask Annie, a person who solved all the problems like love, friendship…for those students of her high school. It was supposed to be a secret and nobody knew it, even Jen’s close friend, Trina. But since the day Jenny was asked to look after Luke Striker, a Hollywood’s famous movie star, as “Lucas Smith” as he wanted to research for a new role, a high school student, Jenny’s life was completely altered. When I started to read the book, I think that it must be something about love. But it was not. From the book, Cara is an overweight girl. Because of her appearance, it always came up the situation like this, Cara came to the café and most of the people mooed and laughed at her. And as a result, Cara used to cry and rush to the ladies’ room. Cara liked to hang out with the “popular people” in the school and she would do anything for being with them. When Lucas saw that, he was very surprised angry. He even didn’t realize what had happened. So he asked Jenny for help. As I was reading this part, I could experience how Cara felt deeply — sad and hopeless. I thought it was strange that someone really cared about the teasing. Since I thought nobody would concern about that actually. It really draws my attention to that kind of stuff now. After reading the book, I think everyone is responsible for the teasing since if no one stops the jesting, it will go on eternally. In addition, I think that the manner of writing and the story are quite interesting. The book is introduced like an adventure of the two totally different youngsters. But it turns out to raise our awareness on teenage issue, like we should concern about people’s sensation. By the way, I like the ending the most. The pace of the plot is getting faster and faster. And the ending is gorgeous and exciting. If you want to find out what happen, you can borrow it from public libraries. To sum up, I think the book “Teen Idol” is really entertaining enough to draw your attention. So I recommend “Teen Idol” to all of you. Hope you like it!
