The socio cultural approach of food and nutrition should use an ethnography for solving a socio-cultural health problem (Suharjo, 1989).
Objectives • to analyze the promoting environmental support to woman in Purwakarta as a sundanese woman with lifestyle and food habit intervention for hypertension
Research Question • How the environment as a determinant can contribute to poorer physical health in sundanese hypertension woman in rural or urban (Purwakarta) ?

ü ü ü ü (geographical context, social structure of the community, food preparation, street foods, distribution of food at household level, food avoidances and fasting, opinion of food and place, food preferences , food demography, socio- economic information, food availability and food landscape for urban woman, food gardening, food taboo, industrialized agriculturist and benefit of food from people who spread arboriculture for tropical woman).
Result • The Results highlighted environment, garden, social structure, information, landscape of city is important.
• Environmental support can help sundanese hypertension woman to be relax and decrease stress
