LQ Conclusions • The tooling length scale up for the LQ is nearly complete.

LQ Conclusions • The tooling length scale up for the LQ is nearly complete. • Practice winding to begin within the next week. • Long generic tooling used for the LHC quadrupoles is in place for the LQ practice coils in IB 3. • Valuable experience from moving LM dipole coils and subassemblies can be tapped into for LQ. LM Conclusions • The scale up of the 1 m dipole mirrors to 2

LM Conclusions • The scale up of the 1 m dipole mirrors to 2 m using PIT strand was successfully demonstrated. • The 4 m (RRP) mirror magnet is about to be tested and will provide valuable information on coil degradation due to deflection. • Feasibility of coil handling and subassembly handling is demonstrated with the long dipole mirror.
