BMC Acquires Abydos “I am pleased to announce that BMC has acquired Abydos, a UK-based company whose tools make building, implementing and maintaining workflows in the BMC Remedy IT Service Management suite quick and easy. Abydos tools allow Remedy customers to easily create workflows with a user-friendly graphical drag-and-drop interface. Their technology can collapse what used to be weeks of code development for IT departments into a few hours or even minutes of work. The Abydos graphical interface also makes it easy for departments outside of IT to create their own workflows. The company’s flagship product, Abydos Designer, was named “Product of the Year” at the 2010 World Wide Remedy Users Group, and will now be known as BMC Remedy IT Service Management – Process Designer.
