Exodus 6: 5 -8 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB) 5 Moreover, I have heard the groaning of the people of Isra’el, whom the Egyptians are keeping in slavery; and I have remembered my covenant. 6 “Therefore, say to the people of Isra’el: ‘I am ADONAI. I will free you from the forced labor of the Egyptians, rescue you from their oppression, and redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. 7 I will take you as my people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am ADONAI your God, who freed you from the forced labor of the Egyptians. 8 I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Avraham, Yitz’chak and Ya‘akov — I will give it to you as your inheritance. I am ADONAI. ’”

Torah Portion Va’eira The Call to Holiness “No Condemnation” Ex. 6: 2 -9: 35 01/25/2020
Do you frequently feel spiritually condemned? Do you often feel like a 2 nd class citizen in the Kingdom? Do you feel guilty and unclean no matter how “right” your life seems to be? Do you carry a “Woe is me” attitude instead of “I’ve been made righteous attitude”?
Romans 8: 1 (CJB) 8 Therefore, there is no longer any condemnation awaiting those who are in union with the Messiah Yeshua.
Whatever it teaches, how can we get it off the written page and into our hearts and minds?
Jeremiah 6: 14 (CJB) 14 they dress the wound of my people, but only superficially, saying, ‘There is perfect shalom, ’ when there is no shalom. Jere. 8: 11
Before we can unmask Satan’s lies and renew our minds to the truth, we MUST UNDERSTAND the truth!
What does the word “condemnation” (katakrinma) actually mean in the N. T. context?
Romans 8: 1 -17 (CJB) 8 Therefore, there is no longer any condemnation awaiting those who are in union with the Messiah Yeshua. 2 Why? Because the Torah of the Spirit, which produces this life in union with Messiah Yeshua, has set me free from the “ Torah” of sin and death. 3 For what the Torah could not do by itself, because it lacked the power to make the old nature cooperate, God did by sending his own Son as a human being with a nature like our own sinful one [but without sin]. God did this in order to deal with sin, and in so doing he executed the punishment against sin in human nature, 4 so that the just requirement of the Torah might be fulfilled in us who do not run our lives according to what our old nature wants but according to what the Spirit wants. 5 For those who identify with their old nature set their minds on the things of the old nature, but those who identify with the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. 6 Having one’s mind controlled by the old nature is death, but having one’s mind controlled by the Spirit is life and shalom. 7 For the mind controlled by the old nature is hostile to God, because it does not submit itself to God’s Torah — indeed, it cannot. 8 Thus, those who identify with their old nature cannot please God. 9 But you, you do not identify with your old nature but with the Spirit — provided the Spirit of God is living inside you, for anyone who doesn’t have the Spirit of the Messiah doesn’t belong to him. 10 However, if the Messiah is in you, then, on the one hand, the body is dead because of sin; but, on the other hand, the Spirit is giving life because God considers you righteous. 11 And if the Spirit of the One who raised Yeshua from the dead is living in you, then the One who raised the Messiah Yeshua from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit living in you. 12 So then, brothers, we don’t owe a thing to our old nature that would require us to live according to our old nature. 13 For if you live according to your old nature, you will certainly die; but if, by the Spirit, you keep putting to death the practices of the body, you will live. 14 All who are led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons. 15 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to bring you back again into fear; on the contrary, you received the Spirit, who makes us sons and by whose power we cry out, “ Abba!” (that is, “Dear Father!”). 16 The Spirit himself bears witness with our own spirits that we are children of God; 17 and if we are children, then we are also heirs, heirs of God and joint-heirs with the Messiah — provided we are suffering with him in order also to be glorified with him.
Law of Life in the Spirit: Through this principle, we put to death the misdeeds of the body and enter into a glorious walk with YHVH!
What does Paul mean when he speaks of “no condemnation”?
Romans 5: 16 -18 (CJB) 16 No, the free gift is not like what resulted from one man’s sinning; for from one sinner came judgment that brought condemnation; but the free gift came after many offences and brought acquittal. 17 For if, because of the offence of one man, death ruled through that one man; how much more will those receiving the overflowing grace, that is, the gift of being considered righteous, rule in life through the one man Yeshua the Messiah! 18 In other words, just as it was through one offence that all people came under condemnation, so also it is through one righteous act that all people come to be considered righteous. Romans 8: 1 -2 (CJB) 8 Therefore, there is no longer any condemnation awaiting those who are in union with the Messiah Yeshua. 2 Why? Because the Torah of the Spirit, which produces this life in union with Messiah Yeshua, has set me free from the “Torah” of sin and death.
There is a new power at work in us, a power called life in the Spirit, and through the Spirit we put to death the sinful deeds of the flesh! “Therefore, there is now NO CONDEMNATION for those who are in Yeshua”
You will not find a single verse that gives godless rebels any kind of assurance of salvation or blessing at all!
Romans 8: 13 (CJB) 13 For if you live according to your old nature, you will certainly die; but if, by the Spirit, you keep putting to death the practices of the body, you will live. FACT: If you are a believer, you’re not looking for a way to go back to the world!
Let’s unfold this: We need to understand YHVH’s posture toward us!
YHVH actually loves to love you! He delights in showing mercy! He takes pleasure in forgiving! If you sin, YHVH wants you to come to Him in repentance!
You need to RENEW your mind with the Word!
Forget how you feel in your heart; Ignore what your mind tries to tell you. . . JUST BELIEVE the WORD!
Renewing our minds with Scripture is like reprogramming our systems and in time, it always works!
Keep the Word before you: Read it Meditate on it Repeat it Declare it Believe it Receive it
Smith Wigglesworth: “Read it through; write it down; pray it in; work it out; pass it on. The Word of YHVH changes a man until he becomes an Epistle of YHVH!”
Our problem: We read the Word faithfully, but we don’t read it in faith!
Luke 15: 18 -19 (CJB) 18 I’m going to get up and go back to my father and say to him, “Father, I have sinned against Heaven and against you; 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; treat me like one of your hired workers. ” ’
Luke 15: 20 (CJB) 20 So he got up and started back to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was moved with pity. He ran and threw his arms around him and kissed him warmly.
Luke 15: 22 -24 (CJB) 22 but his father said to his slaves, ‘Quick, bring out a robe, the best one, and put it on him; and put a ring on his finger and shoes on his feet; 23 and bring the calf that has been fattened up, and kill it. Let’s eat and have a celebration! 24 For this son of mine was dead, but now he’s alive again! He was lost, but now he has been found!’ And they began celebrating.
YHVH is ready to celebrate over you when you truly turn back from your sin! That’s what the Scriptures teach, and that’s what we are called to believe!
We must believe Him! We must take hold of His Word! We must conform our thinking to its truth!
We are made holy by the Word! Psalm 119: 9 (CJB) 9. How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. John 8: 31 -32 (CJB) 31 So Yeshua said to the Judeans who had trusted him, “If you obey what I say, then you are really my talmidim, 32 you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. ” John 17: 17 (CJB) 17 Set them apart for holiness by means of the truth — your word is truth.
Sometimes our feelings are totally misleading. . . in fact, few things are more unstable than human emotions!
So your feelings of “condemnation” all the time could simply be your failure to accept and embrace what is written in the SCRIPTURES. . . on the other hand, there could be a very different reason for the uncomfortable feelings you are experiencing!
