Genesis 18: 16 -19 (CJB) 16 The men set out from there and looked over toward S’dom, and Avraham went with them to see them on their way. 17 ADONAI said, “Should I hide from Avraham what I am about to do, 18 inasmuch as Avraham is sure to become a great and strong nation, and all the nations of the earth will be blessed by him? 19 For I have made myself known to him, so that he will give orders to his children and to his household after him to keep the way of ADONAI and to do what is right and just, so that ADONAI may bring about for Avraham what he has promised him. ”

Haggai 1: 5 -7 (CJB) 5 Therefore here is what ADONAI-Tzva’ot says: ‘Think about your life! 6 You sow much but bring in little; you eat but aren’t satisfied; you drink but never have enough; you clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; and he who works for a living earns wages that are put in a bag full of holes. ’” 7 “Here is what ADONAI-Tzva’ot says: ‘Think about your life!

Hebrews 2: 11 -13 (CJB) 11 For both Yeshua, who sets people apart for God, and the ones being set apart have a common origin — this is why he is not ashamed to call them brothers 12 when he says, “I will proclaim your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise. ” [a] 13 Also, “I will put my trust in him, . . . ”[b] and then it goes on, “Here I am, along with the children God has given me. ” [c]

1 Peter 1: 16 (CJB) 16 since the Tanakh says, “You are to be holy because I am holy. ”[a] Romans 8: 29 (CJB) 29 because those whom he knew in advance, he also determined in advance would be conformed to the pattern of his Son, so that he might be the firstborn among many brothers;
1. Sin does not satisfy. 2. Sin leads to more sins. 3. Sin leads to worse sins. 4. Sin enslaves
Slaves have no freedom Slaves live to do the will of another Slaves have no future Slaves have no ability to determine their lot in life Slaves have no hope UNLESS Someone can liberate them!
When you think of slavery. . . think of satan!
Sin shackles and is easy to step into but so hard to step out of it!
What has brought you to the place that you can’t live without it? What has worked its way into your life? What has enslaved you?
What rules your life? Whose power are you under? Do you live to do the Will of YHVH or Are you compelled to do the will of someone or something else?
SIN ENSLAVES and it does in at least 3 ways: 1 st. Sin enslaves to itself
2 nd. Sin enslaves to flesh
3 rd. Sin enslaves to demons When you give yourself to sin, you give yourself to them!
What sin could possibly be worth committing if the price you pay is slavery. . . slavery to sin slavery to flesh slavery to demon, to the devil himself?
Haggai 1: 5 -7 (CJB) 5 Therefore here is what Adonai-Tzva’ot says: ‘Think about your life! 6 You sow much but bring in little; you eat but aren’t satisfied; you drink but never have enough; you clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; and he who works for a living earns wages that are put in a bag full of holes. ’” 7 “Here is what Adonai-Tzva’ot says: ‘Think about your life! (Consider your ways!)
Walk away and ask YHVH to cleanse your mind! Fill yourself with holy thoughts! Fill yourself with worship and the Word!
Don’t lose your freedom! Don’t cross over the line! Run the other way! Break the cycle while you have the power and don’t listen to the devil’s lies!
CONSIDER YOUR WAYS!
Which way are you going?
Are your standards higher today than they were in the past or have they gradually become lower? Is your ability to resist temptation stronger now or do you find yourself slipping, yielding more easily? Are you doing things now, habitually or with little sense of conviction or guilt that you would NEVER have gone near in the past?
CONSIDER YOUR WAYS!
1. Sin does not satisfy 2. Sin leads to more sins 3. Sin leads to worse sins 4. Sin enslaves 5. Sin degrades and humiliates!
Lives become tainted, achievements marred! The shameful reproach is NEVER worth the sinful release!
Ecclesiastes 10: 1 (CJB) 10 Just as dead flies make perfumed oil stink, so a little folly outweighs wisdom and honor. Proverbs 6: 32 -33 (CJB) 32 He who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself. 33 He will get nothing but blows and contempt, and his disgrace will not be wiped away.
CONSIDER YOUR WAYS!
Sin degrades and humiliates by what it does to you and by how it makes you feel!
What was Samson’s first recorded words?
Judges 14: 2 (CJB) 2 He came up and told his father and mother, “I saw a woman in Timnah, one of the P’lishtim. Now get her for me to be my wife. ”
The devil delights in turning our existence on earth into a living hell BUT YESHUA. . .
Yeshua loves to shower us with glory and honor! Psalm 103: 4 (CJB) 4 He redeems your life from the pit, he surrounds you with grace and compassion,
He washes us with His blood! He frees us from our sins! He makes us a Kingdom of Priests to serve His God and Father forever! Revelation 1: 5 -6 (CJB) 5 and from Yeshua the Messiah, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead and the ruler of the earth’s kings. To him, the one who loves us, who has freed us from our sins at the cost of his blood, 6 who has caused us to be a kingdom, that is, cohanim for God, his Father — to him be the glory and the rulership forever and ever. Amen.
He takes us into His family and He is not ashamed to call us brothers and sisters! ” 13 Also, “I will put my trust in him, . . . ”and then it goes on, “Here I am, along with the children God has given me. ”
This is what our Savior does! He upgrades, not degrades our lives!
As you submit to YHVH and resist the enemy, your FRIEND will be there to fortify you and help you stand!
