Blenheim Palace We can see a beautiful and big castle with five fountains. This picture is the back of castle. The Garden of Blenheim Palace owes much to the Duke of Malborough who, in the 1920's, with the help of the French landscape architect Achille Duchêne, redesigned the garden to create the magnificent setting that visitors can see today.

French garden This beautiful garden is big. There is a fountain in the middle. There are statues in every corner. This fountain is behind Blenheim Palace.
The fountain We can see three fountains and a French garden.
The pond We can see two ponds. Behind the trees, we can see a big lake.
The other pond This is a big and beautiful pond with a monument in the middle. It's a copy of Versailles gardens.

The cascade It's a beautiful and little cascade. In front of it there is a bridge. The dam was built between 1760 and 1774 by Lancelot to hold back the waters of the River Glyme and create the center of his landscape, the Blenheim Lake.

Cascade The cascade is spectacular with magnificent trees including copper beeches, Lebanon cedars and cricket bat willows , all to be seen in the Arboretum. (cedar = cèdre; willow = saule)
