BISHOP GUILFOYLE CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL PROM ATTIRE GUIDELINES
WHY DO WE HAVE A DRESS CODE? • Appropriate dress is a reflection of self respect. • We are not trying to inhibit your style. We want to teach you how to make good choices. • Prom should be fun and memorable. We want you to be comfortable. • As a part of the BG community, we represent the ideals of the school in all aspects.
GUIDELINE 1: BUST LINE • Dresses may NOT be below the bust line. • The bust line continues around your sides and directly under your arm pit. • With arms at your sides, flesh should not touch flesh below the bust line. • Depending on individual bust size, a dress that may be appropriate for one student, may not be appropriate for another student.
