Bio. Win® Bio Gas Analysis of the future! Bio Gas – The alternative energy source of the future!
How to describe Bio Gas ? • Gas mixture formed by an anaerobe, bacterial decomposition of organic substances liquid manure, vegetable waste out of agriculture and foodstuff industry, wood, greases. . . • Content: - approx. 50. . 70 Vol. % CH 4 - approx. 30. . 40 Vol. % CO 2 - Parts von H 2 S, N 2 und H 2
Bio. Win® Fermenter Motor / Generator Biogas ® Tasks of the Bio. Win : • Measurement of the CH 4 -content in Bio Gas for controlling the fermenter function and the effectiveness of the motor • Measurement of the H 2 S-content: protection of the lubricant of the gas motor • Measurement of other components (CO 2, H 2, O 2. . ) for evaluation of the fermenting process

Bio. Win - Technical Data ® • Application: Monitoring of Bio Gas (suction) • Measuring ranges: CO 2: 0 – 100 Vol. % CH 4: 0 – 100 Vol. % O 2: 0 – 25 Vol. % H 2 S: 0 – 2000 ppm H 2: 0 – 2000 ppm (other gases on demand) • Alarm levels: 2 alarm levels, freely adjustable
Bio. Win - Technical Data ® • Measurement: - Continuously or in freely programmable intervals • Measuring gas preparation - Integrated measuring gas preparation with measuring gas cooler, finest filter as well as automatic condensate outlet • Monitoring - Electronic flow monitoring (Principle of differential pressure) - Monitoring of the cooling temperature of the Peltier - Rotational speed monitoring of the rack fan
Bio. Win - Technical Data ® • Outputs: - 5 relay contacts (N. C. and N. O. ) for the separate alarm signalisation (Alarm 1) of the 5 measuring channels - 1 relay contact collective alarm (Alarm 2) - 1 relay contact system failure - 8 transistor outputs (24 V/0. 4 A) to switch the internal as well as external magnetic valves (e. g. Change-over of measuring points) - max. 8 optional, opto-decoupled analog outputs 0/4. . 20 m. A for measured values
Bio. Win - Technical Data ® • Inputs - 8 opto-decoupled switch inputs 12. . 24 V, 5 of which freely available for optional applications such as external control signals ( e. g. „start Measurement“, channel change-over etc. ) • Analog Inputs - Measuring inputs 0/4. . 20 m. A for max. 8 transmitters. Besides max. 5 internal used measuring channels three additional channels are available, to program external signals as per customer requirements. This enables connection of additional transmitters, e. g. for monitoring of ambient air, temperature or humidity.
Bio. Win - Technical Data ® • Interfaces - Two serial Interfaces available: RS 232 or RS 485. One is configured for communication with the terminal, the second one might be configured / programmed for external data processing (control unit or PC) as per customer requirement. By default all measured values as well as parameters are transferred via these interfaces. - The terminal interface is used additionally for programming the On-Board Flash of the Micro-controller. This enables to update the software without changing the EPROM.
Bio. Win - Technical Data ® • Terminal - For displaying the measured values Bio. Win® offers an external operating terminal with optional RS 232 or RS 485 – connection to the controller.
Bio. Win - Assembling ® Measuring gas pump Electrochemical transmitter Module with filter, magnetic valve, needle valve Peltier cooler Micro-controller and I/O- module Power supply Condensate pump (hose pump) Infrared transmitters Fan with rotational speed control Terminal board
® Bio. Win - Technical Data • Transmitter module - The separate mounting plate on the right side wall of the housing covers a maximum of five transmitters which are connected to the measuring gas preparation and control unit via four plug-in hose channels as well as 5 plugs for the transmitters. This facilitates service and maintenance.
Bio. Win - Software ® • The Software fulfils the following tasks: - Parameterization of the measuring channels and alarm levels - Programming the process control - Displaying the measured values in clear bar graph schemata - Detailed, numeric displaying of each channel - Monitoring of the measured values with regard to exceeding of the alarm levels - serial communication with control room computer
Bio. Win - Extensions ® • PC-Software (2004) - Parameterization of the analysing system - Displaying, evaluation and storing of the measuring data - Remote controlling of the analysing system (change-over of measuring points. . . ) • GSM-Modem (2004) - alarms via SMS - Remote parameterization, check of measured values
