Exploratory Program • Students preview German, Spanish and French by spending 30 days in each class • Learn basic vocabulary and culture • Second half of the year: Reading

The Language Booklet/Packet • Students receive a vocabulary packet in each language – Vocabulary – Cultural information – List of assignments – Rules and expectations *It is important to bring this packet to class each day!
Grades and Information • Students receive a grade for EACH class – 1 st marking period: Spanish – 2 nd marking period: French and German – 3 rd marking period: Reading – 4 th marking period: Reading • Effort in each class is important!
Future Opportunities? • In high school, foreign language students have many options! – AP classes (French, German, Spanish) – Summer Study Abroad Program – Foreign Language Clubs – Oral Proficiency Competition
