Bibliography n a list of all the sources you have actually used to do research n A bibliography is the last page of your research paper
Why do we write bibliographies? n To acknowledge our sources n To give readers information n To identify and consult our sources n To make sure our information is correct
What if we don’t include one? n We may be accused of plagiarism! If so, we may lose all or some of our grade for the assignment, or the entire class.
How to Prepare a Bibliography n 3 main parts: 1. author, 2. title, 3. publication information n This information can be easily found on the front and back of the title page in the book.
How to create one There are different ways to cite your books, encyclopedia articles, online encyclopedia articles, and internet sources.
Book with one author: Last name, First name. The Title Underlined. Place of Publication: Publisher, Copyright date. Example: Bell, Stewart. The Martyr's Oath: The Apprenticeship of a Homegrown Terrorist. Mississauga, ON: Wiley, 2005.
