Challenge Human Evolution is a Fact

The Incredible Human Body

u. An adult human being is made up of about 7, 000, 000, 000 atoms (7 octillion). u. Everyone has a unique tongue print. (similar to fingerprints) u. There about 9, 000 taste buds on the surface of the tongue, in the throat, and on the roof of the mouth. u. The surface area of a human lung is equal to half a tennis court.

u. Humans shed about 1. 5 pounds of skin each year, which is about 105 pounds of skin by age 70. u. Every square inc h of skin on the human body has about 32 million bacteria on it; most of them are harmless. u. If the human eye was a digital camera it would have about 570 megapixels (top cameras have about 50 MPs).

u. There about 2. 5 trillion red blood cells in your body. To maintain this number, 2 ½ million new ones must be produced every second by the bone marrow. u. In one square inch of our hand we have 9 feet of blood vessels, 600 pain sensors, 9, 000 nerve endings, 36 heat sensors, and 75 pressure sensors. u. When we touch something, we send a message to the brain at 124 mph.

60, 000 miles the human body there are _______ of blood vessels u. In u. A heart that pumps over 100, 000 times a day u. Red blood cells that transport oxygen to tissues u. White blood cells that rush to identify enemy agents in the body and mark them for destruction

u. Eyes and ears which are more complex than any man made machine u. The human body is made of 60 trillion cells. u. Each second, 10 million cells die and are replaced. u. Bones u. A stronger than concrete nose that can recognize and remember 50, 000 different scents

u. You get a new stomach lining every three to four days. u. A liver with over 500 different functions u. Sneezes that exceed 100 miles per hour u. Teeth that start growing 6 months before you are born u. Eyes that are fully grown at birth u. It takes 12 muscles to smile and 11 to frown.

Human Brain u. About 200 billion nerve cells (neurons) u. Over 100 trillion connections (synapses) u. Over one quadrillion calculations a second u 2. 5 petabytes of storage capacity

Petabyte and the Brain u. Kilobyte 103 u. Megabyte 1, 000 106 1, 000 u. Gigabyte 109 1, 000, 000 u. Terabyte 1012 1, 000, 000 u. Petabyte 1015 1, 000, 000 (Quadrillion)

A Digital Camera and the Brain About 3, 000 photos Over 100 million photos

The Track Record u Piltdown man – Debunked u Nebraska man – Debunked u Ramapithecus – Debunked u Java man Debunked u Lucy (Australopithecine) – Debunked u Neanderthals Debunked

Evolution Fact The human body, with all its amazing components, is so vastly complex that no evolutionist has been able to account for how it evolved through any observable science.

Purposeful design by our Creator God, Jesus Christ d n a y l l u f e d a Fear M y l l u f r e d n o W Every human body is a testimony to an all knowing, all powerful Creator

Challenge Have Scientists Proven the Bible False? SCIENCE Which one is your authority?

The Existence of God u The first verse of the Bible (Genesis 1: 1) assumes God exists. u Everyone knows that God exists (Rom 1: 19 20). u No human possesses infinite knowledge. Therefore, no one can honestly claim they know for sure God does not exist.

How Much Do You Know? The Universe of Knowledge

Nothing Can Exist Without God (The Creator of all things) u Problems with “the universe created itself” n n n u Where did matter come from? The Law of Cause and Effect No space for popping into existence Problems with “the universe has always existed” (no beginning) n The u Second Law of Thermodynamics The foundation for evolution is a matter of faith.

God is a Self-Existing Being Ex 3: 14 He is the “I AM” (“I AM WHO I AM”) u Rev 1: 8; 21: 6 (He is the “Alpha and Omega”) u Psalm 90: 2 (He is everlasting) u 1 Tim 1: 17 (He is the eternal King) u 1 Tim 6: 16 (He is immortal) u Psalm 102: 25 27 (His years have no end) u

God’s eternal existence does not violate any known laws of science The laws of science govern how the material universe operates. God is not made of material things. u John 4: 24 (God is spirit, …) u Acts 7: 48 (God does not dwell in temples made by man) u Acts 7: 49 (His throne is in heaven) u Psalm 90: 4; Titus 1: 2 (God is outside of time) u

Evolution Is Not Based on Observational Science The origin of matter u The origin of stars and galaxies u The origin of life u The origin of dinosaurs u One species “evolving” into a new kind of species u The origin of large canyons u Millions of years (and dating methods) u The big bang (many scientific problems) u

The Bible Teaches God Is the Creator of All Things Genesis 1 u Ex 20: 11 u Neh 9: 6 u Ps 33: 6, 9 u Isa 45: 11 12, 18 u Jer 32: 17 u John 1: 3 u Acts 17: 24 u Eph 3: 9 u Col 1: 16 u Heb 11: 3 u Rev 4: 11 u

A Deduction Based on the Evidence Nothing could exist without a Creator God

Have Scientists Proven the Bible False? No SCIENCE The Authority True science always agrees with God’s Word

Origin of Dinosaurs The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Dinosaurs, Dr. David Norman, 1985, p. 186. “The question of the origin of dinosaurs is one that has puzzled paleontologists for many years. ”

Origin of Dinosaurs The Natural History Museum Book of Dinosaurs, 1998, p. 12. “Where did dinosaurs come from? That apparently simple question has been the subject of intense debate amongst scientists for over 150 years, …”

The Origin of Dinosaurs And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. When Did Dinosaurs Live?

What evidence is there that dinosaurs lived at the same time as people? Dinosaurs were not recognized to exist until the 1800’s.

Dinosaurs and Dating Since the 1990’s scientists have discovered: u Soft tissue in dinosaur bones. u Unfossilized dinosaur bones. u Proteins in dinosaur fossils. u Red blood cells in dinosaur fossils. u DNA in dinosaur fossils. u Carbon 14 in dinosaur fossils.

The scientific evidence supports the Bible. Dinosaurs and people lived at the same time.

Are Dinosaurs Mentioned in the Bible?
