RULES AND REGULATIONS v The Bible Quiz is divided into 4 parts: • • Draw Sword Jumping Questions Objective Questions Memory Verses v Objective questions • All 3 members of the team will sit for this written objective quiz • There will be 30 questions taken from the selected text. Each correct answer will be given 1 point.
RULES AND REGULATIONS v Draw Sword • The participants should hold the Bible at the binding with their arms straight up and will look for the verse called out when the Quiz Master says “Go”. • The identified participant will read out the page number, the book of the Bible, chapter and verse number and then proceed to read the verse. • 3 points for an answer that is judged to be correct • Minus 3 points for incorrect answers, or failure to answer when participant has jumped up.
RULES AND REGULATIONS v Memory Verses • The Quiz Master will read out the verse and participants who know the verse will have to jump up to answer. • 3 points for an answer that is word perfect (i. e. without any mistakes) • Minus 3 points for incorrect answers, or failure to answer or for an answer that is less than 50% correct.

RULES AND REGULATIONS v Jump Judge • The Jump Judge will identify the Quizzer who jumps up first. The Jump Judge decision is final. • The identified Quizzer will walk to the microphone and start to give his/her answer within five(5) seconds. v Timing Judge • The timing starts when the Quizzer is identified by the Jump Judge. • He/She will also keep time for questions not attempted within five seconds after the reading of the question by the Quiz Master
RULES AND REGULATIONS v Quiz Judge • Only the first answer given by the Quizzer will be accepted by the judges. • The Judge’s decision is final. v Score-keeper • The score-keeper will record the points given by the judge and these points will be entered into an Excel spreadsheet that will sum up individual and team scores.
