BIBFRAME Report from the European BIBFRAME Meeting Leif
BIBFRAME Report from the European BIBFRAME Meeting Leif Andresen Royal Danish Library EURIG - Members’ Business Meeting 2019 3 May 2019
Why European BIBFRAME Workshop? ―The aim of the European BIBFRAME Workshop is to be a forum for sharing knowledge about practice of, production with, and planning of BIBFRAME implementation. ―We want to bring together people working in the transition from MARC to Linked Data using the BIBFRAME model and related tools. 24 -okt-21
Why moving from MARC? ― 2000 ff user interfaces were made FRBR alike – and moving from cataloguing cards to internet : discovery HAS changed ―So: our ”back offices” make something different from what ”front office” need ―So format - and rules - shall support modern discovery = need to be entity based 24 -okt-21
