Beyond the Walls Welcome Beyond the Walls O

Beyond the Walls Welcome

Beyond the Walls O for a Thousand Tongues to sing My great Redeemer’s praise, My great Redeemer’s praise! The glories of my God and King, The triumphs of His grace!

Beyond the Walls Jesus! the name that charms our fears, That bids our sorrows cease; ’Tis music in the sinner’s ears, ’Tis life, and health, and peace.

Beyond the Walls He breaks the power of cancelled sin, He sets the prisoner free; His blood can make the foulest clean, His blood availed for me.

Beyond the Walls He speaks and, listening to His voice, New life the dead receive; The mournful, broken hearts rejoice, The humble poor believe.

Beyond the Walls Hear Him, ye deaf; His praise, ye dumb, Your loosened tongues employ; Ye blind, behold your Saviour come; And leap, ye lame, for joy!

Beyond the Walls My gracious Master and my God, Assist me to proclaim, To spread through all the earth abroad The honours of Thy name.

Beyond the Walls

Beyond the Walls And can it be that I should gain An interest in the Saviour’s blood? Died He for me, who caused His pain? For me, who Him to death pursued? Amazing love! how can it be That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

Beyond the Walls ’Tis mystery all! The Immortal dies: Who can explore His strange design? In vain the first-born seraph tries To sound the depths of love divine! ’Tis mercy all! let earth adore, Let angel minds inquire no more.

Beyond the Walls He left His Father’s throne above, So free, so infinite His grace; Emptied Himself of all but love, And bled for Adam’s helpless race. ‘Tis mercy all, immense and free; For, O my God, it found out me.

Beyond the Walls Long my imprisoned spirit lay Fast bound in sin and nature’s night; Thine eye diffused a quickening ray, I woke, the dungeon flamed with light; My chains fell off, my heart was free; I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

Beyond the Walls No condemnation now I dread; Jesus, and all in Him, is mine! Alive in Him, my living Head, And clothed in righteousness divine, Bold I approach the eternal throne, And claim the crown, through Christ my own.
