Life growing up Benjamin was born on January 17, 1706 in Boston Massachusetts. Ben was best known for founding father of the U. S. A Franklin stopped going to school when he was 10 years old and started working as an apprentice for his brother as a printer when he was 12. Benjamin Franklin ran away when he was 17, breaking his apprentice ship with his brother. Ben died April 17 , 1790

Fun facts about Ben Franklin Benjamin was his dad’s 15 th child of 17 total children! Franklin was the first postmaster General United States. Ben Franklin became fairly wealthy from the publishing of his poor Richard’s Almanac. Later in life , Ben set his slaves free and became a fighter for the freedom of slaves.
