WHAT IS PHYSICAL ACTIVITY? • Physical activity is any form of movement that works on your muscles and uses more energy then resting. Physical activity benefits the body in many ways and lead to and healthier and better life, Some examples of physical activity are; swimming, running, dance, yoga, bike riding, soccer and AFL. • Physical activity is one of the most important aspects of a healthy life and can lead to a healthy body, mind and heart. There are many different levels of physical activities from moderate to vigorous, some examples of vigorous activities are swimming, netball, aerobics and bike riding. To get the right amount of physical activity a day to stay heathy you need to be doing at least 30 mins a day, this will lower health problems and keep you physically fit.
PHYSICAL BENEFITS the physical benefits of physical activities impact on the body positively in many ways from, maintaining your weight, have stronger bones, muscles and joints, lowers the risk of osteoporosis, helps lower risk of injury, stronger body and mind and better body image. With daily fitness of a minimum of 30 min you can improve your physical health in many ways. By keeping fit and doing daily exercise you will keep you at heathy weight and strengthen your muscles so you will be less likely to injure yourself, by doing this it will also be easier for you to daily activities.
PHYSIOLOGICAL BENEFITS Physiological benefits of regular physical activity are; lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, reduces risk of some cancers and increases your life span, lowers risk of a heart attack or a stroke, reduces chance of obesity and better sleeping patterns. Being fit and stay healthy will affect your everyday life massively in many different ways. Fitness changes the inside of you more the outside because it affects many things like health problems, your heart growing, lung capacity, strength of bones and muscles, increase your life span by five years and lower chances of depression.
SOCIAL BENEFITS Social benefits of physical activity are; high self esteem, less risk of mental health problems, more socialisation through fitness, improves mood, reduces stress, increased energy, more enthusiasm and improved confidence. These all are social benefits because if you have a higher self esteem and do not suffer from mental illnesses you will find it easier to socialise with others, also by being fit you get out more and tend to meet more people or have a group of people you exercise with or go to the gym with. By being fit and doing daily exercise you tend to be a brighter and more enthused person.
