List all current issues and missing functionalities The following issues have been discussed with Fernando and/or Pawel: Issue Status While monitoring the memory the values don't seem to be updated. Will be fixed in the next version of fw. FMC. You can change the values of the monitoring of the memory can be changed by the user (Usage (%) could be changed without a problem to 60 000). Will be fixed in the next version of fw. FMC. Some archiving are missing (CPU, memory …). Will be fixed in the next version of fw. FMC. Although process monitoring is running the tool claims that there are no processes running (the process monitoring is on). Will be fixed in the next version of fw. FMC. The Last DB update is “ 1970. 1. 1 01: 00”. Will be fixed in the next version of fw. System. Overview. When adding a system to fw. System. Overview (to a host) the system number is not checked if it is in a correct format. It should be always an integer. Will be fixed in the next version of fw. System. Overview.
List all current issues and missing functionalities Issue Status In fw. System. Overview - hierarchy view - selected system -> there is a light than indicates if the system configuration and the system are okay. This light is constantly white instead of being red or green. Will be fixed in the next version fw. System. Overview. FMC - Alerts are never generated about the machine’s CPU, memory or low disk space etc… (only for the PMON). Will be fixed in the future in the FMC. Some sort of summary of the current status of the equipment, projects and systems would be useful. GUI of fw. System. Overview has some elements positioned in a less convenient way. The latest version of FMC rpm is needed. Way to install it ? The fw. System. Overview installation package was incomplete and missing some of the panels. The issue has been fixed. fw. System. Overview - host view -> sorting doesn't work properly if available CPU% I clicked too many times. ETM will be notified about the issue. On the fw. System. Overview - hierarchy view -> when I press one of the systems occasionally the background color of the selected systems vanishes (changes back to white on its own). Will be fixed in the next version fw. System. Overview.
To summarize fw. System. Overview installed and configured System. Integrity is working FMC agent installed Access Controlling is working Alert handling is working for PMON Þ The fw. System. Overview tool is monitoring a BE Linux computer: CPU, memory, networks, file system. Þ The fw. System. Overview tool is monitoring an UNICOS PVSS project: System. Integrity, PMON.
Next steps Monitor the Production UNICOS PVSS projects Configure DB on TN with all the projects information Create a fw. System. Overview project on the TN Configure it to monitor all the UNICOS projects (via DB) Install the FMC agent on all the Linux computers (with BECO)
