Trigonometry—the measure of a triangle. The use of ratios to solve triangles. Trig ratios—sine (sin); cosine (cos), tangent (tan). Reference angle—one of the angles in a right triangle that is not the 90 degree angle. Opposite side—the leg of the right triangle that is opposite to the reference angle. Adjacent side—the leg of the right triangle that is next-to (adjacent) to the reference angle. The hypotenuse—the side opposite the 90 degree angle. (the hypotenuse cannot be the adjacent side or the opposite side)
