Dissecting our Data: What we need to know! We will focus on 3 rd and 5 th grade CRCT scores from the past four years. We will determine our strengths and weaknesses Compare our data against Cobb County scores Discuss our goals and determine our focus for the upcoming school year As we look at the data think about and discuss with your table: How is our overall proficiency in Math, ELA, and Reading? What, if any, impacted these data points? Do we have more students meeting and exceeding the standards versus the county as a whole? From year to year have we made progress with our 3 rd and 5 th graders?

What are our strengths and weaknesses here at Bells Ferry? Since implementing reading and writing workshop models, and engaging in reading and writing professional development, our Reading and ELA scores have gradually increased since 2011. Last year we saw a small decrease in the number of 5 th grade students exceeding in Reading and ELA, however, we are still much higher than the county average. We have made no change in our 3 rd and 5 th grade Math scores between Spring 2012 and 2013.
