Cleaning stations at each entrance point. Lidded bins on entrance points. - Cleaning stations available in all classrooms. EXIT - Students leave their bubble via their usual exit. - Parents encouraged not to pick up or enter the school site at all unless essential.
Communal areas – Atrium and MUGA (CDE) - 2 metre distance, marked by lines on floor. Atrium and MUGA will be the only communal areas in use. Communal areas cleaned between use by different year groups. As in normal circumstances, students will need to be kept away from reception. Doors to different parts of the school will need to be monitored to ensure students don’t access other Year group bubbles. - Students will have one break/lunch in the atrium and the other in the main hall/MUGA. Students will always have access to the main canteen during their break. Food choices: - Our food set up will adapt slightly in order to ensure all students have same options - This adapted organisation will be shared with students on their return to site and changed if it does not function as well as anticipated

Classroom organisation - 2 metre area, marked at the front of the classroom. Df. E guidance states “adults should maintain two metre social distancing where possible…they should avoid close face to face contact, and minimise the time spent within 1 metre of anyone” - All tables laid out in uniform fashion i. e. rows with students facing forwards. Central seating plan database available on Teams. - Each room will contain a cleaning station with hand sanitizer, tissues, anti-bacterial wipes and a lidded bin.
Tutor Time and DEAR Tutor Time: Across the first week a major focus for this time will be spent on ensuring students understand the new normal and the expectations we have of them around this. Heads of Year will share a student friendly plan for this in time. Assemblies: All assemblies will continue to be carried out virtually. These will be pre-recorded and available for tutors to show to tutees on an allotted day via Teams. This is likely to change quickly – we want to run assemblies asap with year groups. DEAR: This will continue in the mornings for KS 4 and the afternoons for KS 3, once the first week of logistics and support to students has been covered.
Face Masks, Social Distancing and Conduct Face masks are now imperative at all times for all students and staff unless they are eating or drinking. Any student exempt from wearing a face mask must wear a sunflower lanyard. Ms Horlock maintains a register of these students. Please contact her if your arrangements have changed in regard to this. Sensible behaviour and social distancing expectations remain. If there any concerns we will continue to follow these simple steps: 1. 2. 3. The student will be spoken to and warned by a member of staff (C 1 logged). Students failing to follow instructions/repeatedly failing to socially distance will be removed from the learning area to work in isolation (C 4) (parents will be contacted to inform them of this situation). Should the student become a Health and Safety risk a senior teacher will be called. The Academy will contact parents and discuss next steps once discussed with the Headteacher. We will monitor logs for social distancing. Any student needing to be warned too often will receive a C 4 isolation. The Head Of Year will meet with the parent to remind them of expectations. Should conduct not improve this may result in further sanctions or exclusion from the Academy under Public Health grounds.
Yondr Amended Process: All students with a mobile phone have received a pouch for their personal use. They will keep this with them and bring it to and from School. Yondr will take place on entry and exit to the building and will be lead by senior staff Any student who doesn’t have a pouch previously will need to request one via their form tutor. We will be very strict on 'if it is seen or heard it is taken'. The usual policy applies around this. Bacterial wipes will be used to ensure any confiscated item is appropriately sanitized.
Extras • Enrichment will now be resume again, as can extra-curricular sessions. This will take place in year groups only and be planned accordingly. • The process for positive tests for students and self-isolation is very similar to Sep 2020 with students/staff needing to Self Isolate (if close contact) for 10 days. • Once the initial three tests for students are completed in School, students will also be given two tests to use at home per week. These should be delivered this week. • Schools are given autonomy to adapt and change their curriculum slightly at KS 3 to ‘close gaps, in Maths and English’. We may consider this later on in the Academic Year.
