Becoming a Webmaster This course is an introduction for first time webmasters in SJC. This will introduce you to basic duties and will house reminders for all webmasters.

Learner Outcomes/Unit Objectives Learners will be able to follow basic video tutorials to problem solve basic wordpress questions Learners will be able to log into and edit basic text in the school website

Lessons Course outline: 1. Logging on and basic tools This section gets every student logged in and exploring the program. We will spend time locating different tools and practice toggling between them. 1. Adding and Editing Basic Text This section focuses on practicing basic editing and seeing how the finished product will look by viewing it on webpage. 1. Editing Widgets and More This section focuses on advanced options via Wordpress. Students will begin editing widgets, rolling script and pictures on their website.

Survey/Assessment Students will demonstrate their basic understanding by updating their school website page and moving teacher’s email links into the correct grade level. This requires students to log into their school wordpress site, navigate multiple pages and edit existing spots to add emails.
