BEAST report H. Nakayama 2016/04/08 KCG meeting
LER study on Apr. 5 th • Emittance Control Knob(ECK) is ready (thx to Ohnishi-san) • BEAST runs at 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 m. A with smaller beam size (knob=0) and nominal beam size used for vacuum scrubbing (knob=1) • Beast run at 250 m. A with knob=1, . 75, . 25, and 0 (Very first “beam-size scan”) Beam size scan I-scan (smaller beam size ) I-scan (nominal beam size )
LER beam-size scan Apr. 5 th, 15: 13 -15: 32, I =~250 m. BEAST BG LYSO, Diamond, BGO BG increase seen in live monitor as beam size gets smaller More detailed analysis will come soon
BEAST BG vs. 1/size TPC (fast neutrons)
BEAST BG vs. 1/size He 3 (thermal neutrons)
Preparation for BEAST study in May • Touschek study – Emittance control knobs for LER/HER – Bunch-current scan (change fill pattern? ) • Beam-gas study – Vacuum bump • Collimator study – Collimator control panels, new fiber loss monitors, etc. “Dry” runs in April to check/develop hardware components, software tools, database, etc. . 関係されるグループの方は、ご協力お願いします。
