Rx, BD Has 3 Major Responsibilities • Scouting & in-licensing – Search for innovative and attractive projects, in Israel and abroad – Evaluate projects: science, development, clinical need, commercial opportunity, IP – Negotiate with inventors and manage the alliance • Out-licensing – The way in which most companies make revenues – Identify partners, contact them, present and persuade, manage relationship – Negotiate and manage the alliance • “Commercial Sense” – Identify best value for the project from the commercial perspective – Collaborate with R&D to find overlap between commercial potential, scientific fit and development feasibility – Continuously monitor and analyze the impact of changes in the market/data 7
