Battle of Stalingrad • Germans running out of oil, so Hitler changed his tactics to 1. get oil & 2. capture Stalingrad • Marched to Stalingrad conquering house by house • Soviet launched a massive counterattack • Hitler refused to quit • Winter turned Stalingrad into a frozen wasteland 2
