RECOMMENDATION We made the recommendation to trial BART within the District RESULT: 240 members in 8 weeks

DISTRICT BENEFITS • Brigades are better engaged and have a faster, more streamlined workflow • Districts can see who is allocated This data can be fed into other systems, like our SAP requests • ‘At Premises’ availability status to highlight who’s on station Duty officers can also see the brigades capacity • Brigades and The FCC save load on the paging system By using BART for non-incident related messages • Lower SMS costs Avoided the need to purchase a secondary SMS gateway

GROWTH • Since May 2017 BART’s adoption rate has grown to 740% (Within the NSW RFS) • Approximately 7, 500 members making use of BART (Across the state of NSW) • Over 380 brigades across NSW have 9 or more registered members in the BART system • Current utilised by 14 districts in NSW Many who have been using BART for 2 or more years • Almost every active member in the Sydney Basin uses BART on a regular basis • Not just Sydney, there’s just as many regional areas using BART

MY OPINION • Has made significant inroads in supporting our members BART’s growth is a testament to this • Easy fit to trial at a state level Given the volumes of members already on the system • The OCC could be setup to use BART in a matter of hours This would provide intel of what’s happening in each district • Request BART to provide an API call That shows available brigades into the central dispatch tool
