Sample summary • After indentured servants got their freedom, they wanted land, so they moved west. Out west, they fought with Indians. When they asked for help from the east coast settlers, those settlers did not want to help. The rebels got angry and burned Jamestown. As a result, the South thought slavery was better since free indentured servants caused too much trouble.
