CAPSTONE - Timetable The second review-document should be read by all partners for final comments. Discussions on content, secondments etc. should take place before and directly with Archana!
CAPSTONE – Secondments & budget The MCSA RISE funds secondments of researchers CAPSTONE can request a total maximum of 540 Person Months (PM) of secondments • The MCSA RISE programme allows 2 kinds of secondments: (a) EU-to-EU (this includes the so-called EU Accession States) or (b) EU-to-Third Country (+vice-versa; TA stands for Third Countries, basically meaning almost countries outside of Europe). • • In option (a), secondments are ONLY allowed if they are inter-sectoral, meaning a secondment between an academic institution and a non-academic organisation (generally a company or an association). Research institutes also fall within the category of academic institutions. In option (b), secondments can be both intersectoral as well as intra-sectoral, ie. also between academic institutions. The EC provides a fixed amount for each PM that a researcher is seconded. This money is split between the researcher and the institution. Please note that the institution’s allocation can also (partly) be used to pay an additional top-up allowance to the staff members to cover additional travel and subsistence costs, or to organise additional training activities or horizontal networking events. Moreover, any remaining institutional unit costs per secondment can be "pooled" and effectively reshuffled among different secondments according to the internal arrangements of the consortium.
