Background and Research Question • My research question is median weekly earnings by educational attainment. Research on this topic is important to me because I want to see what level of education I will need in order to have at least 1000$ per week. We can divide research question in 8 categories in order to find median weekly earnings by educational attainment. 8 categories are median earnings with: less than high school diploma, some college no degree, associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, professional degree, doctoral degree. I will get my data from site Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Data Sources • I found my data on http: //www. bls. gov/emp/ep_chart_001. htm • Data is divided into 8 categories.

Conclusions • From the graph from previous slide we can see that on average people without high school diploma will earn 1242$ less then people with Professional Degree in one week. As we can see mean is 1050$ and for that you will need at least Bachelor’s degree and this is what I want to be paid in future. People with some college without degree have similar weekly earnings as people with Associate’s Degree. If we divide weekly earnings with 40 hour per week we will get that with no high school diploma people will earn 11. 8$/hour, people with Bachelor’s Degree 27. 7$/hour and people with Professional Degree 42. 85$/hour
