Goals/ Expectations • Reading on Level D (DRA Level 4)by the end of the Year • Math- Recognizing and counting up to 100. Beginning to add and subtract. • Counting by 2 s, 5 s, and 10 s. • Writing in complete sentences.

Daily Schedule • • Breakfast in the Café begins at 7: 30 am School Begins at 8: 00 am Lunch is from 10: 51 am- 11: 41 am Dismissal is at 2: 15 pm in the Courtyard

Homework • Homework is given nightly • Please go over your child’s homework each night. • Please have your child do the work in his or her on handwriting.

Parent Teacher Conferences • • November 16, 2017 March 15, 2018 May 23, 2018 There will be half- days in November and March for those Parent Teacher Conferences.

Home School Connection • Parent Engagement time is every Tuesday, from 2: 20 pm-3: 15 pm. Set up an appointment with your child’s teacher • You can always write a note in your child’s notebook. • Check out the class webpage for updates: www. ps 35 q. org

School Trips • Permission slips will be given well in advance • Please return permission slips with the trip money in a labeled envelope • Limited number of parent chaperones depending on the trip

Birthday Celebrations • Please let your child’s teacher know in advance • Please provide a nut free snack to celebrate the birthday due to allergies • Cupcakes or munchkins are easy for the children to eat and clean up
