How Students Earn Credit for Prior Learning National Exams & Certifications (NCRC) Military Transcripts – JST CVTC Portfolios - program faculty evaluates per course competencies CVTC Exam and/or Skill Demonstrations - program faculty evaluate • Recorded on Transcript as Verified Experience– 80% of Competencies met • Assessment Failed – Below 50% of Competencies/Enroll in Regular Course • New Learning Experience Option – 50%-79% Competencies/Create Learning Plan with Faculty guidance to meet minimum of 80% competence CVTC New Learning – used when portfolio/exam/demonstrations show minor weaknesses that could be achieved to earn credit or when transferable college courses have missing pieces or when work experience is only part of a course.
